Description:
Ability to use the tools and materials of the trade effectively. Knowledge of safety procedures
and equipment required to perform the job. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment used in
performing jobs. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs. Knowledge of local, state
and federal requirements. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability
to read and follow instructions. Ability to work from blueprints and other design diagrams.
Ability to perform cross-over work in several trade areas.
Job Summary:
To perform maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and fixtures in a safe and
efficient manner at the journeyman level.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Five (5) years successful welding experience at the journeyman level.
3. Valid Florida driver’s license.
4. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
