Praxair Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Technical – Orbital Welder to join our team located in San Antonio,TX

The Technician – Orbital Welder will be responsible for welding of assemblies to exact measurements from prints. Under general supervision the Technician – Orbital Welder conducts routine technical tasks in plant.

Orbital Welder Technician

• Ensures proper assemblies are fabricated in accordance with procedures
• Conducts bench tests and preparing documentation for specialty gas panels
• Ensures a safe work environment by following Praxair health and safety guidelines
• Certified Orbital Welder
• Able to read mechanical drawings / work from hand sketches
• Familiar with VCR fittings / prep assembly
• Follow all work SOP’S related to position
• Performs routine maintenance on instruments
• Maintains data both via hard copies and electronically
• Interacts effectively with other work groups
• Must be able to assemble panels with hand tools
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Degree/GED required
• Technical Degree or Welding Certificate preferred
• Prior Welding Repair experience is required, minimum of 3 years
• 2+ years’ experience working in clean room environment
• Strong mechanical background desired
• Strong communication skills are required
