Welder – Tool Room – 1st Shift

We are looking for a talented Welder to join our 1st Shfit team at our Rocky Mount Engine Plant in NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Welder – Typical expectations and skillset including Stick Welding, MIG Welding and some knowledge of TIG Welding required
• Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.
• Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
• Fully proficient performing skilled activities expected by their roles in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities.
• Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
• Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• North Carolina Driver’s License.required
• Ability to read a tape, using break presses, metal shears, reading blue prints and operating a forklift
• Must be able to obtain certification for Stainless Steel welding and able to take measurements and draw up racks ect.
• Hours are 5am to 1:30pm and wage range from $16-25 hourly. depending on experience
