We are seeking local, experienced Apprentice & Journeyman Pipefitters for our Pipe Shop in Nisku, Alberta.

MUST HAVE PIPE FABRICATION SHOP EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE WITH CARBON & STAINLESS STEEL PIPING.

Responsibilities:
Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittings

Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems

Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required

Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors

Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications

Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition

Mentors and coaches Apprentice Fitters

Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.

Complete equipment maintenance in line with CEI and industry standards, procedures and practices.

Independent work environment, without direct supervision.

Ensure goals are met and communicate progress to supervisor.

May perform other related duties assigned

Requirements

Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Pipefitter’s ticket

Must be experienced with small and large bore

Must be in compliance with pre-access & post-incident drug and alcohol testing

Must have previous pipefitting experience in an industrial setting

Must have previous pipefitting experience in a fabrication shop

Must possess valid CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training Systems)

Must possess valid government issued photo identification

Candidates with COR safety experience an asset

Candidates with current First Aid certification preferred

Candidates with loader, skid steer experience & overhead crane experience an asset

Work Conditions

Applicants residing within a 50km radius of Nisku, Beaumont, Leduc, or Edmonton and surrounding area preferred.

4 and 3 rotation – 10 hour days

Work will be primarily inside Fabrication facility, however some field work may also be required

This position will be project based

Work will be primarily in the shop and outdoors in various weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to go on/off equipment
