Job Responsibilities

• Interpreting welding process specifications.
• Fitting up and welding pressure piping and structural steel (shoes, supports, etc.).
• Reading and interpreting isometric drawings.
• Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, flame and plasma cutting equipment, grinding equipment (angle grinder, die grinder, etc.).
• Perform general checks & maintenance to supplied welding rig including cleaning, checking fluid levels, refueling as necessary.
• Performing other activities as directed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be a team player and be willing to participate in company safety requirements
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract would be considered an asset
• Local to Fort St John
• Must have valid H2S Alive, First Aid Level 1, and Common Safety Orientation tickets
• CWB SMAW all positions are required
• Flux core would be considered an asset
