Overview
Bourgault Industries is looking for a Tier IV Supervisor for our Weld team at Building E. Please note, this job opportunity is for current Bourgault or Highline Team Members only.
PURPOSE:
- Guide the team to success by coaching, counseling, leading, and motivating
- Provide specific, day to day guidance and direction to a production team, including planning, organizing and team leading
- Assist with achieving departmental goals on a daily basis
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership to team members including One on Ones
- Guide team members on how to work safely and advise VSL of major safety concerns
- Work with team members on proper work methods and creating the Job Instruction breakdowns
- Assign work to team members, taking into account each individual’s abilities
- Organize the work by ensuring that the materials, tooling and equipment necessary to do the job are in place
- Perform hands-on duties, when time permits
- Assist the VSL with planning for future production requirements.
- Shift work required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Equipment and process knowledge
- Customer and employee focused attitude
- Strong computer skills
- Prospective Supervisor training is an asset but not a requirement
- Strong desire to improve the quality of your own thinking, as well as a desire to develop the skills and thinking of others
