Overview

We are the local Sales and Service Centre for Swagelok Company, a multinational leader in the manufacture of fluid system components for Chemical/Petrochemical,Oil and Gas, Nuclear Power, and many other industries. We are seeking a full-time permanent associate for our fabrication department in Sarnia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform and manage all activities involved in the operations of the fabrication department.

Ensures compliance with safety policies, efficiency standards, inventory, process improvements, and data reporting.

Able to keep the shop organized, clean, proper maintenance of tools and equipment

Qualifications and Skills:

Fabrication experience (welding, pressure tests, electrical) with pressurized fluid systems knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Stainless Steel welding experience (GTAW, SMAW, or Orbital) would be an asset

Strong computer skills in MS Office and SAP and the ability to learn new software as required would be an asset.

A college diploma or certification in instrumentation or electro-mechanical is considered an asset.

Experience working in a TSSA, or ISO 9001 Quality registered facility would be an asset

Scope of Position:

Physical Requirements- Moderate lifting

Manual Dexterity – must demonstrate manual dexterity required to operate all shop tools safely

Travel- Initial six-month onboarding will include travel roughly one week per month for product and certification training. After initial training, travel of approximately 10% for projects and additional learning opportunities.
