LeeBoy is offering a $2000 signing bonus for candidates who pass our weld test and are hired on as permanent employee. The bonus will be distributed as follows: First $1000 will be paid after completion of new hire orientation and first full week of work. The second $1000 will be paid out after working full time 120 days.
2nd shift hours are 3:00 pm to 1:45 am Monday – Friday
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor; clamps parts together along layout marks
Welds parts or subassemblies according to welding diagram or blueprint
Welds part or subassembly along weld joint, applying filler rod to molten area to form weld
Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts
Applies flux to workpiece instead of filler rod
Welds along vertical horizontal or overhead weld lines
Scarfs or grooves weld prior to applying filler rod
Cleans or degreases parts
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
Two years of training at a Community College or Technical school
Minimum of two years on-the-job welding (welding heavy metal/steel)
