We are looking for a Weld Apprentice to join our team! Standard Machine offers the opportunity to work in a clean, warm, safe, indoor environment featuring interesting and varied work in a shop environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 4th Year Weld Apprentice
 - 1-3 years’ experience
 - Knowledgeable on weld design
 
- Commitment to providing outstanding service
 - Attention to detail with a focus on quality
 - Reliable track record at previous employment
 
THE JOB:
- Write welding data sheets
 - Complete accurate work inspections
 - Setup own work and check lower-level setups without supervision
 - Rigging of heavy equipment
 - Weld materials in all positions, with all processes and sizes of wire
 - Fabricate all sizes and shapes of parts working in tight tolerances
 - Efficient and cost-effective layout of parts on plate
 
Experience welding in a heavy industrial setting is considered and asset.
