We are looking for a Weld Apprentice to join our team! Standard Machine offers the opportunity to work in a clean, warm, safe, indoor environment featuring interesting and varied work in a shop environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 4th Year Weld Apprentice
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • Knowledgeable on weld design
  • Commitment to providing outstanding service
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality
  • Reliable track record at previous employment

THE JOB:

  • Write welding data sheets
  • Complete accurate work inspections
  • Setup own work and check lower-level setups without supervision
  • Rigging of heavy equipment
  • Weld materials in all positions, with all processes and sizes of wire
  • Fabricate all sizes and shapes of parts working in tight tolerances
  • Efficient and cost-effective layout of parts on plate

Experience welding in a heavy industrial setting is considered and asset.
