NASCAR Event Management seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Fabrication and Aerodynamics Manager based in our Concord, North Carolina office.

This position will assist on NASCAR Research and Development projects as they relate to fabrication, machining, and parts assembly.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Travel to different parts suppliers, as needed, to pick up and deliver parts.

Travel to occasional racetrack tests to perform fabrication duties.

Assist on any projects as they relate to fabrication, machining and parts assembly.

Assist any of engineering personnel, as requested, with special projects.

Responsible for the daily cleaning of own shop area and main shop.

Look for and communicate any facility damage to the Managing Director, Research and Development and/or Operations Manager and/or Shop Foreman, as it pertains to the Fabrication Department.

Required skills / experience:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 2 years in the field of fabrication and welding.

Proficient on Company provided hardware and software.

Must have basic mechanical knowledge and skills as they apply to tools, equipment, materials, and assembly processes.

Must be able to effectively operate the following tools and equipment:

Band saws

Conventional mill

Conventional lathe

Grinders

Sanders

Measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)

Sheet metal sheer

Sheet metal break

Mig welder

Oxygen/acetylene welding equipment

Pneumatic equipment (such as impact wrench)
