Overview
Metro Steel is seeking to hire Welding Supervisor for afternoon shift and experienced fitters / welders / fabricators for our operation located at 470 County Road 448 – Tavares, FL 32778.
We are looking for Fabricators, who are qualified to read blue prints and shop drawings.
All applicants will be required to take a welding test. Bring your own hoods, sleeves and gloves if you have them.
Due to Covid-19 precautions, we can email you an application or you can call in to pick one up. You will need to set up an appointment for your weld test. Bring in your filled out application at the time of your test.
– Must be able read blueprints and a basic knowledge of weld symbols
– GMAW, FCAW a must!
– Carbon steel, Structural steel
– Ability to weld vertical, flat welds in accordance to AWS D1.1
– Ability to read tape measures and angle finders
– Ability to lift 50 pounds
– Ability to operate various shop tools
– Trained in forklift and overhead crane operation
– Must maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area
