Job Summary
We are a new manufacturer of residential aluminum doors. Weare a fabrication facility and are looking to hire an experienced Fabrication Assistant.
This is an excellent ground floor opportunity in our Port Coquitlam facility, with a dynamic growing company. We are looking for long term in house employee who can grow with the company for years to come. We are a privately owned company looking for versatile employees with a desire to learn and increase their skills.
This job will consist primarily of light fabrication and mechanical assembly of aluminum door components, material handling, Quality control, material packaging and shipping and receiving. May be called to assist in glazing duties from time to time. This position would be working with the lead fabricator.
Qualifications and Skills:
Good Mechanical Aptitude Good English communication skills (Oral and written)
Quality focused, and excellent attention to detail.
Good Physical condition, ability to stand for 8 hours, ability to lift 50lbs
Skilled use of hand tools and shop equipment such as:
- Hand Drills
- Table Saw
- Chop Saw
- Fabrication Machinery
Relevant prior experiences that would be an asset:
- Quality Control
- Metal Fabrication
- Welding Industrial Machine
- Operation Mechanical Assembly
- Repair, Maintenance Inventory
- Control Shipping/Receiving
- Construction / Technical Trades
