Overview

We are a professional commercial & residential glazing company in the Lower Mainland looking to immediately hire full-time aluminum fabricators (2) and glaziers (2) to work at our construction sites. You will be working at multiple sites in the Lower Mainland and at our warehouse.

Hourly rate is $32-35/hr and paid bi-weekly. Health & dental benefits after 3-month probationary period for permanent, full-time employees. A company vehicle may be provided to permanent, full-time glaziers with a Class 5 license and clean driving abstract.

We are also hiring glazing assistants at a $24-$27/hr rate and trade helpers/labourers at $18/hr, paid bi-weekly. Contract-based work may be available.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine installation procedure and materials required
  • Measure, mark glass and cut glass
  • Assemble and install aluminum curtainwalls, storefronts, windows, doors, etc.
  • Operate machines and tools as needed
  • Caulking
  • Meet the quality standard for every project
  • Aluminum fabrication

Job-Specific Requirements

  • Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Physically fit and able to lift 65 lbs
  • Comfortable with heights, working on scaffolding and swing stage
  • Construction knowledge/experience
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
  • Minimum 2 years glazing experience

General Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Interview/references will be required.
  • Criminal record check required (some of our work sites also require a Vulnerable Sector check).
  • Fully vaccinated, according to work site requirements.
  • Must be punctual, reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Good teamwork, communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Requires travel to multiple work sites in the Lower Mainland (if long distance travel is required, a company vehicle or gas allowance can be negotiated).
