Overview
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
· Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
· Sourcing the materials to be used for a project
· Measuring and cutting materials, specifically metal, to specifications
· Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together and according to plan
· Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
· Interact with a Certified Welding Inspector
· Working solo or in a team setting
Qualifications:
· Knowledge welding tools and equipment
· Must have experience with Mig welding
· Experience with aluminum and sheet metal welding
· Experience in fitting with duct work
· Knowledge of safety standards and ability to use protective clothing including face shields, gloves, steel toed boots, etc.
· Must be dependable and able to work occasional overtime as needed
· Ability to work in a fabrication shop setting with some exposure to the elements
· Ability to climb ladders as needed for fabrication jobs
· Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature
Physical abilities:
· Able to lift up to 50lbs. on a frequent basis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
