Job Name: Apprentice/Journeyman Millwrights – Welders

Location: Traveling Position – New Hill, NC

Description: Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings. Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails. Aligns machines and equipment. Capable of welding proficiently. Capable of installing and tracking belts and chains. In-depth knowledge of welding machinery and electrical equipment. Will work on production equipment, rigging and moving heavy machinery and factory equipment. Familiar with process piping such as air, water, and hydraulic. Welding and fabrication of pipes. Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors. Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must have set of hand tools. Power tools and specialty equipment will be provided for use on jobsites.

Requirements: Previous experience in conveyor assembly and installation with experience in the installation and tracking of chains and belts. Prior experience with various roller and gearbox adjustments. Must have complete set of standard millwright hand tools, safety boots, safety glasses, and hard hat. Conveyor, header steel, and steel deck installations experience.
