Overview
An opportunity currently exists for an Apprentice Welder/Fitter to join our Fabrication crew (an experienced Journeyman will also be considered). We offer a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and benefits. The position is based in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Primary Responsibilities: Bolt-up or welding of parts/structures Fabricating container structures Lay out reference points Material preparation – grinding, drilling, cutting, clamping, assembly etc. Follow instructions and directions from the Production Supervisor /Leadhand in reading of prints, work orders and planning of work procedures regarding tools and materials’ requirements Perform other duties as assigned The Ideal Candidate – The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualities: CWB certified Highly developed communication skills Fluent in English, both written and verbal Reliable and punctual Availability to work overtime hours A diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required The ability to work in a safety sensitive role at all times
