Location: 285097 Blue Grass Drive Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada T1X 0P5
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 7:00am to 5:30pm
Project Start Date: August 23, 2022
Whaler Industrial Contracting Inc., part of the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, is a well-established and growing construction & maintenance company that provides services to the oil & gas, energy and heavy industrial sector in Western Canada.
Whaler Industrial Contracting Inc., is looking to add a Apprentice Pipefitter to our team.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine piping requirements
Measure, cut & thread pipe to required dimensions using hand and/or power tools
Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
Assist welders to join piping
Bolt up piping, valves and instruments
Able to take direction from supervisor in timely manner
Actively participate in safety program
Required Skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work overtime or shift work as required
Results orientated
Mechanical Aptitude
Required Experience
Apprentice: Registered Apprenticeship
Previous Pipefitting or Fabrication experience
