Overview:
Neptune Coring, a Division of Lafarge Canada, is a leader in the trenchless construction industry providing services to major underground construction companies within Edmonton and surrounding areas. We are recruiting 2nd and 3rd year Apprentice Welders to join our team. Journeyman Welders will not be considered for this position.

A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive image to the customers and general public.

Ability to plan work and self-direct.

Ability to work in physically demanding environments outside in the field as well as in the shop/yard.

Ability to work in tunnels and confined spaces.

Assisting other workers in completing tasks.

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
A valid apprentice ticket is required

A valid Driver’s License

First consideration will be given to those who have current CSTS-2020, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Protection, TDG, and Ground Disturbance Certificates.

The working environment is indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must also be able to work some overtime, weekends, and out of town.

As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
