Are you a creative, meticulous Architectural Fabricator / Model Maker with meticulous visual skills and steady hands, interested in collaborating with some of the greatest talents in the industry in commissioning models for a diverse scale of award-winning portfolios?
As an Architectural Fabricator (Model Maker), you will be reporting to the Director and working collaboratively with the team to craft three-dimensional scale models that are used for design development as well as fabulous presentations. Our studio is involved in various projects such as cultural, educational, healthcare, custom residential, commercial, retail, multi-residential, and interiors.
Your manager and colleagues will be guiding you in introducing you to the requirements, and systems as well as collaborating with you in developing you in achieving your objectives.

Our studio consists of talented teams of Architects, Designers, Projects, Fabricators, BIM Technologists, Computer Graphic Artists, Marketing, Finance, Administration, and Human Resources.
As an Architectural Fabricator you will be:
· Creating three-dimensional models based on the Architect’s design approach and Assisting the Architect in evolving and improving design development
· Studying, observing, and interpreting architectural drawings and sketches from the Architect to develop and fabricate an appropriate conceptual model
· Assisting the Marketing team through the model in delivering a successful presentation
· Developing a strategic plan for successful submission under a tight deadline
· Determining appropriate material dimensions, required equipment, and operation sequence
· Maintaining (repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, and testing) machines, devices, tools, and equipment regularly
· Monitoring inventory on regular basis and re-stock any shortage
· Operating power tools and hand tools in a safe manner
· Working collaboratively and respectfully with the team
· Developing drawings and 3D model for outsourcing if required
To achieve your objectives as an Architectural Fabricator you will have:
· A degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Architecture, Architectural Technologist, or equivalent
· Experienced in architectural model fabrication (or equivalent)
· Background in architecture and/or furniture design
· Able to read architectural drawings and sketches
· Both abilities to work well with the team and to work independently
· Knowledge in AutoCAD
· 3D software skills (Rhino, 3Ds Max, Rhino, or equivalent) are an asset

· Having a steady hand and a good eye for detail, proportion, and colour are important qualities for a model maker
· Having coordination and collaboration skills that will allow you to adjust actions based on teams’ actions
· Having critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
· Having a clear understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments
· Provides solutions by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required
