Position Description:

  • Provide manufacturing leadership and support to Manufacturing and Customer Support (M&CS) operations
  • Support program start-up processes (MVB/PLP/FPI) for new programs and/or variants
  • Lead in establishing/maintaining manufacturing capacity analysis (labour/machine) and facililitization strategies.
  • Collaborate with EDT, Program, SCM and other support groups as well as other GDLS process/business centres
  • Facilitate meetings and negotiations of high level technical problems between EDT and P&D
  • Foster a DFM environment that emphasizes collaboration and consensus
  • Plan/manage Open Plan Schedule and Hours for all Bid tasks
  • Provide Bid and Proposal support to Program and collaborate on new and developing strategies with emerging markets
  • Plan/manage departmental workforce requirements – Staff Levels, Funding, Expense Budgets and Admin rates
  • Assist in development / management of Operating Budget
  • Administer IRAD projects and funding streams
  • Actively engage in team development
  • Administer all GDLSC policies and procedures
  • Identify Continuous Improvement Opportunities and Goals

Position Requirements:
Position Requirements:

  • University degree/college diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Goal oriented and able to work under demanding conditions
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and participate within a team environment with minimal supervision

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing process and operations
