Overview

Job Summary:
This position is for an Assembler with production experience in fit-up and fine adjustments, enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in achieving performance excellence.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Demonstrates excellence in performing complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.

Ability to multitask

Knowledge of impellers, shafts, gearboxes, and bushings installation and fine adjustments.

Completes fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations

Interpret assembly drawings, work order instructions, procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Complete standardized written documentation and forms.

Uses appropriate inspection gauges.

Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.

Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.

Reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to management.

The job requires the use of hand/powered tools, wires, fixtures, parts, sub-assemblies, and operation of overhead crane and pallet jack.

Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.

Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work areas.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:Physical:
Sitting, Standing, and Walking.

Carrying, Stooping, Lifting and Reaching.

Lifting Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.

Mental

Math.

The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.

Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency

Education & Training:
OSSD High School Diploma or GED required

Technical School Diploma, Trade Certificate or Equivalent Certificate of Qualifications

CWB Welding certificate is an asset

TSSA Certified Carbon and Stainless is an asset

Previous Certification Forklift and Overhead Crane

Advanced Math, including geometry and trigonometry

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years with rotary equipment and complex assemblies

Familiarity with Duplex, Ni-hard, Alloy 20 is a plus

Knowledge of both manual and electrical tools

Understanding of metrology

Proficient knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings

Exceptional communication and technical skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Proficient in English language, both Oral and Written.

Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up.

Performs well in a fast-paced environment and can multitask with ease.

Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency

Working Conditions:
Hours of operation: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
