Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for the Autowelder Operator include but are not limited to:
Trouble shooting problems and changing out consumables as needed.
Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control consumable cost and scrap.
Removing all flux from produced parts.
Filling flux hoppers.
Operator-level maintenance of machinery.
Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
Operating the Autowelder machine while making constant adjustments.
Being flexible to work any schedule needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with reading drawings, prints
Must be able to read a tape measure
Preferred Qualifications:
Crane and forklift certifications
Cross training experience on Autowelder
Autoweld Certification
Weld Certification
Prior mechanical experience
