HIRING NOW Canadian Executive Search is currently looking for 2 automated weld operators. Wage is between $20-$21, must be a welder and be able to work swing shift. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions and direction from the Manufacturing Supervisor and/or Shift Leader(s) with respect all assigned work functions and activities, inclusive of control plans, weld symbols, SAP documentation, weld process sheets (WPS) and completed routing travels;
  • To ensure that the correct amount of weld is used based on the customer’s requirements and the best welding practices and standards; and
  • Load and unload racks using overhead cranes
  • Understanding of welding and ability to weld
  • Maintain and fill out paper work as per job requirements
  • Ability to load plates in the cell in the proper orientation
  • Ability to work with PLC’s and welding equipment
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions for Multiple programs
  • Knowledge of weld profiles and the ability to distinguish weld defects and repair as required
  • Maintain equipment ( welding equipment as well as tooling )

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • A secondary school graduation diploma;
  • A completed Apprentice Program and Certification in the trade by the Province of Ontario or equivalent, would be an asset;
  • A knowledge of, and familiarity with, welding symbols and basic drawing reading and interpretation skills;
  • An ability to work well with others as a part of a team
