Kingsville Stamping was founded in 1986 and the company started with one 30-ton press and has since grown to a 24 press, 3000-ton capable operation. Kingsville Stamping is a well-equipped production facility that is supported by engineering, maintenance, tooling, welding/assembly, and repair/rebuild. Our employees are the foundation for our high industry standards in regards to quality, reliability, flexibility, and on-time delivery. Our major produces are for Ford, GM, and FCA’s pick-up truck auto parts as a tier 2 automotive company.

We are looking for Metal Press Setup Operator candidates who used to have at least 1 year of automotive metal press machine operator experience (mandatory)

3* *months probationary contract, leading permanent

with experience $18.25/hr to start –

steady afternoon $0.5/hr, steady midnight $1.0/hr (after 3 months)

Skill Tier system Grade A,B, C – $18.25 to $23/hr (every six months – depends on the skill level)

Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties:

  • Install dies in the press during a change over from one job to the next
  • Install End of arm tooling to each job during a changeover
  • Install all needed equipment during a changeover, such as feeders, uncouples, nest stations, etc.
  • Move robots into position using teach pendants
  • Assign the correct job after the change over in the computer panel
  • Verify parts coming off the production line to meet quality standards
  • Operate the press using controls on the panel and operator robots during production
  • Troubleshoot service and repair robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatic.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
  • All necessary documentation, pre-start, operation, downtime paperwork as per KSL’s production requirement
  • Run MIG and nut robotic cells.
  • Physical lifting from 5-30lbs

Qualifications and Skills

-Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Electro mechanic industrial automation (Robotics) college diploma is an asset.

-Experience: 1-year automotive metal stamping setup op experience or 2-year college is an asset

Please note repetitive job, lifting up to 15lbs is required as the work takes place in a production facility.

Salary: $18.25 (Starting rate), up to $23.00 hourly, 40-48 hours per week. 3 shifts rotation,

0.5 dollar night shift premium

1 dollar steady midnight shift premium, 0.5 dollars steady afternoon shift premium
