Marine Canvas & Awning Fabricator
Must be an enthusiastic self-starter, enjoy working independently, able and willing to learn new techniques and have high attention to detail and quality. We are looking for someone that truly takes pride in their work & enjoys working in a canvas shop where you will have a new focus weekly and sometimes daily. This is not repetitive work therefore employee must enjoy and embrace switching gears on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read excel and fabric awnings according to Excel dimensions
- Operate several different types of industrial awning machines
- Calculating accurate yardage
- Inspect fabric for defects
- Cut, Sew and weld finished product
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Assist receiving materials / deliveries from vendors.
Required Skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to accurately read measurements
Education, Experience, Other Requirements
- Previous technician/installer experience an asset
- Own transportation to and from the facility
This is a full-time position, with an entry hourly rate of $18-22/hour depending on experience. Upon successful completion of a three-month probationary period, the candidate will be eligible to join the companies benefit plan.
