Overview
Plant Maintenance Shut Down – fix term
- Fabrication and maintenance of piping, structural steel and stainless steel for the oilfield industry plant
- Read and interpret drawings and follow welding procedures to produce quality weldments
- Weld to CWB standards
- Weld duties to code, fit and weld structural, CWB certified
- Preparation of materials needed for fabrication
- Perform manual lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
- Be aware of job numbers and allocate welder time & materials appropriately
Terms of Employment:
- Full time, temporary fix term position
- May transition into permanent position, based on performance and available work
- Contractor wage: $95/hour contract rage,
- Employee wage based on established company pay bands.
- Hours of Work: 7am start ~ 10hour work day. Subject to change based on project requirements
- Benefits not eligible as fix term position
- Work is located in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan
- Live out allowance available if home residency is over 100 km from worksite.
Skill Requirements:
- Journeyman Welder Certification
- Industry experience
- B Pressure weld certificate
- Stainless steel certificate
- CWB certification preferred
- Current Safety Tickets required:
o H2S Alive (mandatory)
o CSTS 2020 (mandatory)
o Emergency First Aid (preferred)
o Confined Space (preferred)
o Elevated/aerial work platform (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 23kg
- Proficient in written, spoken and reading English
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 weeks
