Impact Industrial is a CWB/ABSA certified manufacturing facility that specializes in structural steel fabrication, custom metal fabrication, and pressure vessel fabrication. Impact Industrial provides complete metal fabrication services, from design to finished product.

IMPACT is currently looking for a driven, career oriented individual to enhance our team with the following position in Sherwood Park, AB:

B Pressure Tig Welders

Qualifications

  • Tig Welding
  • Must have roll welding experience in C.S and S.S.
  • Experience with SCH 10 stainless is a must
  • Tickets needed: P8-P8/F6 & P1-P15E/F3-F4

Duties

  • Stainless Steel Pipe tig welding
  • Applicants will be expected to maintain a strict schedule
  • Applicants will be asked if they can provide a WQR (test report from the testing center, not the welder performance card) for the needed qualifications. If it does not expire for six months we can do an in house test. If they cannot provide WQR, they will be going to test at a test center.
  • Welders will be required to pass RT on their first two production welds(qualifiers).
  • There will also be a few days of B pressure carbon steel welding as well as stainless steel welding.

This is a temporary contract position. Impact will consider hiring both fully equipped welders or ticketed Journeymen Welders and Impact supplies everything. In the case of fully equipped welders, Impact will supply consumables, gas, pipe stands, positioners and material handling. Welders would then be responsible to supply all other equipment.

The job start date will be between Sept 27st and Oct 4th. Duration of the job is expected to be around 2 weeks.
