Overview

Altex Industries is a fabrication, engineering and service company that specialize in providing heat transfer equipment and service for the oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a full-time, Welder. Some of the responsibilities and requirements include:

· Welding Stainless Steel and Inconel TIG welding tube to tube sheet welding with 1/8″ projection

· Welding tubes inside header boxes for air coolers

· Weld using electric and gas-powered arc welding processes and equipment

· Weld using MIG/TIG, gouging and Sub-Arc welding equipment

· Assist with the layout and fit-up of pressure vessels (shells, heads, internal and external attachments)

· Operate oxy-fuel and plasma torches

· Operate tools and equipment such as grinders, drills, and band saws

· Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding Stainless Steel and Inconel TIG welding

· High School Diploma

· B Pressure Journeyman Welding Trade Certificate

· Read and Interpret fabrication drawings.

· The ability to work independently and collaboratively

· The ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Introductory knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server applications

· The ability to multitask and set priorities

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to concentrate on detailed work

· Patience, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity

Shifts: Days (Mon-Thu) – 6 am – 4 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)

Nights (Mon- Thu) – 4:30 pm – 3 a.m. (1/2 hour lunch)

Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) – 6 am – 6:30 pm (1/2 hour lunch)

Rate: $42.30 – $44.42/hour

*Must pass a weld test with Altex Shop Foreman prior to hiring.
