B-Pressure Welder with Rig

We are currently recruiting for an experienced B-Pressure Welder with Rig to support our project-based operations near Elkford, BC.

Shift: 14/14

Accommodation: Camp provided

Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.

Operate SMAW, GTAW and FCAW.in carbon and stainless steel.

Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Maintain safe work practices and follow project requirements.

Assist in development of repair estimates.

Conduct repairs and modifications as directed.

Monitor materials usage and report on any material issues. Assist in materials identification and management.

Provide accurate production reporting to assist in project reporting and tracking.

Assist in training, directing & supervision of junior employees and apprentices. Mentor apprentices in quality and safety.

Attention to detail – ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

Requirements

Journeyman P-Pressure Welder Certification

Must have Class A ticket from TSBC (and WPQR#) with the ability to produce “X-ray” quality welds on demand

Valid welding certification, with ITA Log Book CWB & ASME

Possess a valid driver’s license

Ability to work independently in a busy environment

Physically able to kneel, squat, bend, push, pull, and lift
