Position Summary

We are seeking ONE (1) Journeymen B-Pressure Welder by hand with Stainless with Oil & Gas Industrial experience to support our shop in Fort Sk. The successful candidate will report to the site Foreman & General Foremen.

Our Ideal Candidate

· Journeyman B-Pressure Welder with Stainless Ticket

· 5+ years or more experience.

· Previous oil and gas/construction industry experience.

· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

· Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to multitask and define properties.

· Strong communicator: able to understand instructions and communicate effectively.

· Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.

· CSTS 2020

· WHMIS 2015

· Fall Protection

· EWP

· H2S

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedure specifications.
  • Use different welding processes and fillers depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape, and requirements for finished product strength weld parts together.
  • Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
  • Clean, check for defects and shape component parts. Sometimes using a cutting torch.
  • Participate as a team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
