Overview
Craftsmen Contractors is looking for an Experienced Barge Welder and Structual Fitter to work at a barge repair facility in Vacherie, LA. The ideal candidate must have experience as a Barge Welder or Fitter in the barge / ship repair industry. **COMBO WELDERS ARE WELCOMED TO APPLY.**
YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WELDING or FITTING ON A BARGE IN THE WATER. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE WELDING WORK WHILE ON A FLOATING VESSEL.
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE at least (2) years of Structural Welding or Fitting experience.
- Must be able to pass a Welding/Fitting test.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have own hand tools and have all PPE.
Pay rate will be determined at the time of Welding/Fitting test. Pay rate is $18.50 to $23.25 depending on experience.
