Brazer – HVAC Manufacturing

Sigma Corporation is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including Wallfin, Convectors, Force Flows, Cabinet Unit Heaters, Valance as well as Radiant Ceiling Heating and Cooling Products. In addition to industry-standard products offering, our 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario is optimized for quality flexible manufacturing to meet nearly any specification.

The Opportunity

Sigma Corporation is seeking a person who has experience in the HVAC industry to join our commercial products team as a Brazer – HVAC Manufacturing in a fulltime position. The successful applicant should also be a responsible team-player, who is able to work individually and has strong attention to details in performing everyday tasks.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

· Read drawings and follow work instructions

· Cut and clean copper pipes for cooling unit

· Install and Braze copper pipes, brass and stainless-steel fittings

· Braze pipes to HVAC components; compressors, expansion valves, filter driers, etc.

· Meet quality compliance requirements

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment with Safety First in mind

· Flexibility to work overtime on occasional evenings and weekends.

· Perform repetitive work in a manufacturing environment, frequently required to walk, reach, bend, stoop or lift materials weighing less than 50 pounds.

· Work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Qualifications

· Intermediate level braze ability working with copper, brass, and stainless-steel fittings

· Must have experience with Oxy-Acetylene Soldering/ Brazing

· Must be able to use hand and pneumatic tools

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

· Must be able to perform duties as required under minimal supervision

· Must have sufficient working knowledge to pass brazing certification

  • welding: 1 year (preferred)
