Overview

Bruce Power is proud to provide power to one in three homes, hospitals, schools and businesses in Ontario and also provide medical isotopes across the globe to keep medical equipment sterilized and assist in fighting disease.

Bruce Power’s construction and maintenance programs are scheduled to continue to ramp up through the remainder of 2021 and throughout 2022 on the Bruce Power site. The construction work is scheduled to remain executing out to 2035 providing long term opportunities.

These work programs will provide individuals an opportunity to work on the largest operating nuclear plant in North America! The Major Component Replacement (MCR) project is also named one of the largest construction projects in Canada.

The construction and overflow maintenance activities executed on Bruce Power’s site are completed by contractors and suppliers. The term contractor and/or supplier refer to an organization or company who does work on Bruce Power’s behalf.

The workforce required for delivering the construction and maintenance overflow work through our suppliers and contractors are supplied through our signatory Building Trade Unions (BTU).

To ensure the ongoing success of our construction and maintenance programs we will require approximately 2500+ professional skilled tradespeople from our building trade partners.

Now is a great time to become a nuclear professional and work on one of the largest construction projects ongoing in the country.
