Patrick Mechanical Ltd. is a Sudbury based mechanical contracting company founded in 1989. Over the years, we have established ourselves in the industrial, commercial, and institutional contracting fields. Our specialties include mechanical contracting, custom steel fabrication, plumbing, heating, process piping, millwright, and related services.

We are pleased to offer the full-time, contract position of Pipe Welder.

We have two available rotations:

Rotation 1:

Starting: August 14th, 2022 to September 4th, 2022

Rotation 2:

Starting: September 4th, 2022 to September 25th, 2022

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment used in the welding trade.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing’s specifications, manuals and processes; examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/ or specifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the operation of shop tools
  • Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
  • Manually lifting weights between 20-50 lbs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Industrial experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CWB certification preferred (SMAW All Positions)
  • TSSA certification required (6G Carbon Steel – SMAW)
  • Ability to travel out-of-town at an extended period of time

Experience:

  • Welding: 5 years (preferred)
