Certified Welder/Fabricator
Full Description
We’re looking for welders who are proficient in reading technical drawings, material preparation and fitment techniques and possess sufficient trade knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, and TIG techniques for use in structural and ornamental weldments to engineered specifications on both Aluminum and Steel Stock. Candidates must also adhere to prescribed Safety Protocol and display proficiency in daily time and resource management, and loss prevention methodologies. Most tasks will be assigned Minimum Production Requirements (MPR).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for reading and executing engineering prints.
- All weldments completed spec-verified within tolerance. Responsible for weld process improvement and implementation for future revisions and process improvement.
- Responsible for continued process optimization in the current production environment.
- Lead and/or assist production in all quality and process related weld topics and issues.
- Must be willing to support production on a daily basis in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and assist in tool maintenance.
- Develop & maintain proper documentation of all necessary procedures, periodic maintenance tasks, process control, etc.
- Select and define required and appropriate spare parts & consumables (gas, wire, abrasives, etc.)
- Fill out daily work order reports.
Requirements
- Must be certified welder in good standing; AAS in welding technology is a plus.
- Deep understanding of welding structural steel and aluminum components.
- Experience in setting up and operating tooling.
- Proficient in Office suite of programs.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
