Overview
Machine Specialty & Manufacturing, Inc. is currently in need of a Welder-Clad to join our team in Youngsville, LA. This is a full time non-exempt hourly position. This is a Monday through Friday position and overtime is likely (may at times include weekend work).
Duties & Responsibilities:
– Review and understand drawings and/or weld procedure specifications in order to produce required components.
– Verify part or parts prior to welding.
– Align part with machine for cladding
– Weld metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
– Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
– Fit or assemble component parts of MSM products.
– Locate and repair broken or cracked parts, or alter size of component parts.
– Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
– Assist other welders as required.
– Maintain clean and orderly work area.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an environment where the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions , working around moving mechanical parts.

Employee to have special vision requirements as listed below :
Close Vision ( Clear vision at 20 inches or less ) , Distance Vision ( Clear vision at 20 feet or more) , peripheral vision , depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Education & Experience:
-High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED and a minimum of three (3) years experience. Must be able to pass a bend test.
