Overview

We are growing Steel Fabrication shop looking for a reliable, full-time Steel Welder to join our team. Our Welders are passionate about production efficiency and quality of work, ensuring that all welding is on schedule and completed correctly. If you have a desire for high energy production, quality and workmanship, then this position could be for you.

This is a full-time role, with some overtime opportunities when required to complete time sensitive projects. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Normal Hours: 6:00AM – 2:30PM, MON-FRI

Overtime: Early starts (5:00AM), Late shifts (after 2:30PM), Rare weekend (Saturdays)

Job Description

  • Full-time welding; keeping on task and on schedule
  • Report directly to the Production Manager
  • Role model for the organization, representing company values, systems and policies
  • Operate in a high pace environment, working efficiently with the team to complete projects on time
  • Read drawings (imperial and metric) of various engineering levels and quality; understanding materials and weld requirements
  • Ability to independently operate a Fork Lift and Overhead Crane
  • Class B Welder preferred
  • Fitter experience preferred
  • CWB certified preferred (we provide company paid testing if not certified)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at a steel shop, preferred primarily industrial welding, fluxcore, welding mig (hard wire) and metal core
  • Have your own hand tools, welding helmet and other tools procured for use in the trade
  • Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Proof of Citizenship, or Passport Visa with the legal right to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
