Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Read blueprints and shop drawings as necessary to complete project as assigned.

Select welding process and rod for ferrous and non ferrous material.

Use gas, electric, amd inert gas welding techniques to the highest standards of quality.

Establish currents, levels, gas pressures, as well as rod size and type.

Operate powered equipment such as job hoises, air grinders, and drills.

Use standard measuring devices as required.

Wear prescribed safety equipment and observe all safety policies.

JOB KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints will be beneficial.

Ability to use standard measuring devices.

Must pass welding qualification test.

Must be able to lift 60 lbs on a continuous basis.

Must be able to work in high places, roofs and ladders.

Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold.

Must be able to work in confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Foundry Environment.

Exposure to extreme temperatures.

Exposure to high noise levels.

Exposure to dirt and fumes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Welding Trade School preferred.

1 – 3 years previous welding experience.
