Industrial Plastics & Paints is hiring a full-time CNC Laser Operator to cut and fabricate plastics in our Kelowna store’s shop.

The ideal candidate has great communication skills, experience with woodworking and hand-tools, and is looking to learn and train to operate a small-scale CNC Laser cutting machine,

We are eager to help you learn and train on the specifics of our products, if you are able to think quickly on your feet and are flexible to a wide-range of retail job demands.

Genuinely care about providing our customers with technical assistance in selecting the best product solution.

Be respectful, direct and make decisions in the best interest of the customer.

Available for full-time or part-time hours Monday – Friday. Saturday availability is a benefit.

Capabilities:
Forklift certification required.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Safely operate woodwork hand-tools, table-saw, router, drill press and similar equipment.

Ask detailed application questions to customers to provide technical guidance and advice about product solutions for their project need.

Read and follow blueprints and drawings.

Create detailed hand-sketches with dimensions from customer’s verbal instructions.

Train & Learn on the following areas:
Operation of CNC laser cutting machine

Ability to work with and edit machine computer programs

Industrial Plastics & Paints are Experts in Plastics, Paints, Resins & Composite Materials for Makers, Manufacturers, Artists, Educators and the Professional Trades.

We are looking for team-members who are excellent communicators, care about the customer experience and are passionate about making things with professional-grade products used to achieve professional results.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$30.00 per hour + $300 per month productivity bonus.
