Overview

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidate must possess required tools of the welding trade – including all required PPE.
  • Assist in the lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces.
  • Perform all daily responsibilities and routine duties including but not limited to checking fuel and water levels in welding machines; readying tool, leads, and rods.
  • Utilize welding skills that must consist of the ability to bevel or grind pipe, as needed.
  • Utilize pipe stands to weld pipe and pipe fittings onto piping in all sizes. Perform welds in a trench.
  • Clean work area, company tools and equipment, when necessary or upon instruction.
  • Complete any other assigned responsibilities or duties as directed by Foreman or Field Supervisor.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in Stick Welding, preferably in construction with exaction and heavy equipment.
  • Be able to successfully pass a 6G Stick Welding Test.
  • Have dependable transportation to job sites and/or company yard, as required.
  • Be able to preform a variety of duties, which may often change.
  • Be able to accurately complete all directive by following specific instructions with great attention to detail.
  • Be able to work within company and OSHA regulations, guidelines and standards as safety is out top priority.
  • Be able to speak, read and comprehend basic English. High School or GED graduates are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to completed welding in a trench. Therefore, you must be able to withstand and be inclined to work in this environment and varying weather conditions of Florida.
  • Candidate should be able to use arms, hand, fingers and legs fully to kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Must be able to climb, balance, and work off of ladders and scaffolds.
  • Must also be able to climb stairs and reach overhead for long periods of time.

Salary Range:

Based on experience.
