Your profile

Must have high school diploma or equivalent

Need to have 1-3 years of industrial-mechanical experience

Must be able to pass the following welding qualification tests. GMAW 6G Butt Joint Open Root & 5F Fillet, both to the ISO standard. Must complete standard aptitude tests. SMAW and GTAW certifications are required to make it through the progression steps

Ability to obtain fork truck and crane license. Prefer to have previous experience.

Must be able to wear a respirator

Ability to use basic shop math, precision measuring equipment

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Your responsibilities

MIG weld generators to rail cars.

Weld brackets on generator

Hand stack and detail core iron.

Grind welds and rail cars as needed.

Make and or support heavy crane moves

Work in other areas of the campus on other products as needed.

Your opportunities for personal growth

You will be assigned a mentor to work with you as you gain the skills needed to work on your own.

Within our area you will have the opportunity to advance to a team lead.
