We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Cut-Out Fabricator to join our production team in Taylor, TX. Pay Rate: $14.09 – $19.18 plus 7% shift differential. Shift: M-F; 3:30pm – midnight.

Job Function

Under general supervision, individuals must demonstrate high proficiency in every step of the letter finishing process in accordance with current job procedures.

Specific Job Duties

Reviews production orders to insure familiarity with job requirements.

Receives and reviews artwork from layout department.

Determines the cutting paths and sequence of operations using appropriate software, maximizing material usage through placement of artwork on the raw material sheets.

Programs lasers with the correct cutting parameters.

Sets up the laser with correct material.

Lays out location of mounting studs and drills and taps product as needed.

Performs inspection of letters before shipment to insure compliance with customer specifications and company quality standards.

Maintains a complete and orderly file of all artwork used.

Assures that materials are ready and available, and reports to supervisor when materials are needed.

Places incoming materials in appropriate storage areas when received

Maintains an awareness of the means by which process improvements can be achieved, and makes related recommendations to the department supervisor.

Completes records of department production including waste materials and units produced.

Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning procedures on lasers and other equipment

Performs duties in a safe manner, and follows all approved safety procedures at all times.

Maintains the department in a neat and orderly manner at all times.

Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow employees and superiors.

May perform reasonably similar and related duties as assigned and instructed.

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
