Required : CWB Level-1&2 Inspectors for Maintenance and Turnarounds

Job Description: Piping & Boiler Inspection

Start date: Immediate

Location : Fort McMurray ,Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspection and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work;
  • Ensuring project compliance to codes and standards;

Conducting process, product and quality management system internal audits;

  • Inspects construction of process modules and related systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, contract documents and specifications;
  • Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship;
  • Inspection of process piping, power piping, boiler coils and structural from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation.
  • Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection

Qualification Requirements

-CWB Level 1& 2 Welding Inspector Certification -Required

– Knowledge of NDT methods (x-ray/radiographic, mag-particle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) -Preferred

– Knowledge of pressure and pneumatic testing methods and procedures -Preferred

– Experience as Welding Supervisor or Welding Examiner-Preferred

– Knowledge of ASME B31.3,B31.1,VIII.Div.1,IX,II,CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes -Preferred

– Experience preparing Work Scope Packages -Preferred

– Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications-Preferred

– Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Preferred

– Strong organizational and time management skills-Preferred

– Strong written and verbal communications skills-Preferred

– Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
