Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the CWB Level II Welding Inspector are oriented toward existing tanks that have been in service. The inspector should be able to check and perform calculations included in the following categories:

Tasks:
Manage QAQC program within Cyntech and client specifications through pre job planning, execution and turnover.

Coordinate with client, project managers and site supervisor on various tank repair projects.

Act as Tank Entry Supervisor on various tank activities.

Review drawings with repair contractor; ensure repairs are performed per drawings, per API code.

Ensure projects are completed on time and safely.

Coordinate with various contractors throughout the project, moving contractors in and out.

Perform walkthroughs will client field departments to make sure adequate repairs were completed.

Track manpower on all active projects daily.

Track progress on all active projects daily.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
CWB Weld Inspection Level II Certification

Must be certifiable in UT Thickness.

Must be certifiable in VT acuity

API 653/ 650 certification an asset

Considerable knowledge of industry-accepted standards, guidelines, procedures.

ABSA and NACE experience considered an asset

API 653/ 650 certification an asset

Must be able to work independently.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft software, and various IDMS platforms. ACAD experience is a plus.

Previous work history in Oil and gas (refinery, upstream / downstream)

Willing to travel

Physical Requirements:
Physical strength and stamina.

Ability to continuously stand or walk.

Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Able to manipulate small power tools.

Work Environment:
Our primary work environment is in the energy and petro-chemical industry.

Working on aboveground storage tanks and vessels.

Working in restricted and confined spaces.

Working at heights from work platforms.

Will work in extreme temperatures above 35°C and below -30°C.

May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.

Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis during each shift.

Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud (hearing protection will be provided).

Travel between project sites will be required
