Location/Project: Yorkton, SK – Shuttle Train Terminal

Estimated Job Duration: June 2022, potential to travel with company when project completes

Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural welding.
  • Use templates, temporary material, gauging devices, and/or patterns to create material joins.
  • Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld to produce a quality product.
  • Must complete all necessary preparation work including grinding. Torch work may be required.
  • Must abide by the company’s field safety rules (including wearing PPE) and work with supervisors on performing all tasks in the safest manner.
  • Must maintain good housekeeping (safe, clean, and orderly work area).

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of welding practices and techniques.
  • Must be able to read and work from blue prints/drawings and follow instructions.
  • Must possess basic tools of the trade.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Involves physical work that requires frequent use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to perform strenuous outdoor work in exposed weather conditions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Must be able to climb and work at excessive heights.
  • Must have a normal range of hearing and vision.
  • May require lifting up to 30 kgs.

Hours: 10 days on, 4 days off, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm. Other schedules may be available. Weekend work and additional daily work may be required during peak construction periods.
