What you will do:

Responsible for the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings, fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures to produce production parts that meet customer specifications, as well as the fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a high paced production environment. This position will work with Supervisors and Journeymen to ensure continuous improvements in work cells, hitting quotas, welding according to pre-set parameters using MIG, ARC and TIG welding processes.

Specific Accountabilities

· 2nd year Apprentice Welder or 1st year with welding experience ONLY will be considered

· -Work well in a team environment

· -Follow all shop safety procedures and protocols

· -Can take direction well

· -Good verbal and written communication skills

· -Dependable and punctual

· Detail oriented

· -Attention to quality

· -Some experience with CAD drawings in a asset

· -Able to work independently

· -Available for overtime or shift work

· -Reliable transportation

  • -Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and techniques.
  • -Other assigned work as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Previous night-shift experience is an asset.
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Computer literate an asset.
  • Must have own vehicle and driver’s license as public transportation is not available.
  • Must abide by our Vaccination Policy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
