What to expect:
The CWBA Welding Technical Advisor will directly report to the CWB Association Director. This role is to support, develop and facilitate any projects being run by the CWB Association. These programs and projects may be in collaboration with many of the other business units within CWB and will work very closely with CWB Marketing, as such, competent computer skills will be expected. These projects will also be related to and based on welding and steel fabrication disciplines and the recipient must be comfortable with both theory and practical knowledge. Duties includes:
WELD magazine
contacting industry to procure and bring in articles for the magazine
Editing of articles
Welding Technical Advisor
Ensuring quality of articles
Ensuring they are within guidelines for sales and advertising
Procuring questions and answers
Student Lounge
Procuring articles from students
Work with CWBA Sales
YouTube – Online post upload support
Welding Technical Advisor for content
Content tagging in video descriptions, Time stamping key elements
Supporting overall Marketing driven SEO strategy, with technical knowledge
Developing and facilitating the creation of content
Video content
Training development
Developing and facilitating the creation of content
Filming support
On location opportunities may be required

Location Support
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is primarily work from home
Will be required to work from Milton Head Office approximately 4 times per month
Approximately 15% travel required
What you bring to the table:
Post-secondary education in Welding
Level one (1) CWB Inspector certificate
Moderate Office software experience
Competent in Social media use- Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube
Excellent MS Office knowledge
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Attention to detail and high accuracy of work
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, work within scheduled timeframes and set priorities to ensure deadlines are met
Ability to work independently, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and contribute to overall team goals and objectives
Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Valid Passport, travel ready
The following qualifications would be an asset:
Bilingualism in English and French
RSE in Welding or Steel Fabrication
Level two (2) CWB Inspector certificate
Advanced Office software experience
Advanced understanding in social media use
