What you will do as a Direct Hire Welder:
- Produces high quality products through wire feed welding
- Sets up and operates various welding equipment
- Works toward meeting direct labor utilization goals
- Moves product through the factory using Kanban
- Keeps a safe work environment and reports safety observations
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management
- Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach
What you need to be a Direct Hire Welder:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-year Vo-tech certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Production welding experience is strongly preferred
- Must have excellent blueprint reading skills
- Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities
- Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required
