Position Overview:
Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for a dedicated Dual Ticketed Heavy Duty Mechanic/Welder who will be responsible for the field maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar engines and auxiliary equipment. This position follows a 7×7 continuous shift rotation based out of our Mildred Lake facility.

Job Description:
Basic Functions:
Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.

Weld and repair Caterpillar equipment

Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics

Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)

Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team

Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks as required

Qualifications:
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification

Interprovincial Welder Certification

Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail

Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset

Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset

Previous repair and welding experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset

Notes:
This position is located out of Mildred Lake D06 facility on 7×7 continuous shift rotation

Hourly rate: $59.12 – $61.28 / hour
